About DoseMarks
A free, plain-language calculator that turns the dose on your prescription into the mark you draw to on a U-100 insulin syringe.

Why we built it
Reconstituted peptides and compounded GLP-1 medications come as powder you mix yourself. The number of units you draw depends on how much water you added — and a small mistake can double or halve a dose. DoseMarks does that conversion and shows every step, so you can check it.
How we calculate
- Concentration (mg/mL) = mg of peptide in the vial ÷ mL of water added.
- Volume (mL) = your dose in mg ÷ concentration.
- Units = volume × 100, because on a U-100 syringe 100 units = 1 mL.
Every result has a “Show the math” panel with your own numbers filled in. We also tell you when a dose falls between the printed marks on your syringe, when it won’t fit in one syringe, and when it’s too small to measure reliably. The formulas are covered by automated tests that run before every release.
Where our information comes from
Titration schedules appear only for medications whose FDA prescribing information defines one (for example tirzepatide and semaglutide), and each page links to its sources. For investigational or research compounds we do not publish doses — the calculator only converts the dose you enter.
What we will never do
- Tell you what dose to take. That is a decision for you and your prescriber.
- Sell peptides, medications or “research chemicals”.
- Invent credentials. Our pages are not currently reviewed by a licensed clinician, and we say so rather than imply otherwise.
- Let money change the math. If we ever show ads or link to partners, those links will be clearly labeled.
